The Ontario Police Department (PD) patrols and cites vehicles on the streets within the Edenglen Community. To report abandoned vehicles, please call the Ontario PD at (909) 395-2001 with the vehicle description (make, model, and color), and location of the vehicle. Please call the Ontario PD to report any suspicious activity within Edenglen or areas nearby or if you receive a citation from the Ontario PD. If it is a life threatening emergency please dial 9-1-1.
The Association’s patrol company, California Coast Patrol, does nightly patrols of the Edenglen common areas between the hours of 6pm – 10pm. California Coast Patrol will only cite vehicles in the alleyways that are blocking ingress/egress of garages. For questions related to patrol hours or areas of patrol, or ONLY if a vehicle is blocking ingress/egress of your garage, please contact California Coast Patrol at (714) 563-1821. All other abandoned vehicle related concerns should be addressed directly to the Ontario PD.
Edenglen has recently been plagued with issues involving theft and vandalism in the community. Residents are asked to please take caution and be sure to report any suspicious activity to the Ontario Police Department:
- Front Desk: (909) 395-2001
- Non-Emergency Dispatch: (909) 986-6711
- For life threatening Emergencies please dial: 911
Residents are also encouraged to call the community Patrol Company, California Coastal Patrol, 714-209-5800. Below are some additional tips on how to increase security for yourself and your neighbors:
-Be sure to keep your vehicle doors locked and do not leave your garage open and unattended at any time.
-Do not keep personal belongings or valuables in your vehicle(s).
-Consider Certified Mail to require your signature instead of receiving mail or package drop-offs at your front door.
-Install personal security cameras. The Edenglen Master permits wireless cameras as long as no wires are exposed or affixed to the exterior of the building. Please contact management if you belong to the Belcourt Neighborhood or Portico Neighborhood Association. Other rules regarding installation of security cameras may apply to these sub-associations.
-Consider a volunteer position on the Neighborhood Watch Committee. We are currently soliciting members. Attend the next Neighborhood Watch Meeting, scheduled for April 13, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the Edenglen Clubhouse. Hope to see you there!
